Dr. Omar Haq is a board certified gastroenterologist and transplant hepatologist. He serves as the medical director of the liver transplant program at Medical City Fort Worth, Fort Worth TX. Dr. Haq received his medical degree from King Edward Medical University, Lahore Pakistan and served as a post doctoral fellow at the Yale School of Medicine – Hepatic Hemodynamic Laboratory. He completed his internal medicine residency at Drexel University College of Medicine – Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia PA. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Oklahoma City OK. Dr. Haq completed his fellowship in transplant hepatology at Emory University, Atlanta, GA. Dr. Haq is board certified in transplant hepatology, gastroenterology and internal medicine. Dr. Haq strives to treat each and every patient with compassion, care and medical excellence. Dr. Haq has a special intetest in the management of all liver diseases and disorders, especially the management of patients with end stage liver disease, cirrhosis, portal hypertension and liver transplantation. Dr. Haq is a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD), American Society of Transplantation (AST), American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) and American College of Gastroenterology (ACG).
